There are many paths that we follow in our lives, but there is only one single path to heaven. Maybe your path has been crooked, or filled with chuck holes and ends. Maybe a lot of debris clutters the way ahead. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father except by Me.” John 14:6

Have you let your own choices and preferences get you off that true and straight path to heaven? “There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to . Proverbs 14:12

Think about these things:

• Religiosity – or merely sitting in some church pew is not enough, however well you intend it.
  
• People cannot work their way to heaven.
  
• Just leading a good life will not open that door.
  
• Eternal life cannot be purchased no matter how much money you pay.
  
• Belonging to a certain church denomination, even if you came up through a specific church, and your parents went there – cannot insure salvation.
  
• Participating in all the “church things to do” (choir, confirmation, liturgy) will not save, however good it sounds or however well intended.
  
• A parent’s faith cannot save a child-God doesn’t have grandchildren.
  
• Knowing the Bible stories and verses, and having a head knowledge of Bible history will not, of themselves, save us. That head knowledge must become a “heart knowledge”.
  
• Symbols and customs and traditions of the church cannot save.
  
• ETERNAL LIFE MAY BE LOST BY THE LENGTH OF A SINGLE FOOTSTEP ON THAT CROOKED PATH THAT YOU ARE WALKING – THE DISTANCE FROM THE HEAD TO THE HEART.
  

THE ONLY WAY TO GET THAT HEAD KNOWLEDGE DOWN INTO OUR HEARTS IS TO TRUST JESUS CHRIST AND TO RECEIVE HIM BY FAITH. HOW DO I DO THAT? “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father, except by me.” John 14:6 KJV

Believe that He is, and that He paid the penalty for our sin.

Confess your self-sufficiency, rebellion, and denial of His presence in your life.

REPENT (SAY I’M SORRY, JESUS) AND TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS (DARKNESS) AND TOWARD HIM (THE LIGHT).

Ask Him to save you, and to come into your heart and your life right this minute and to be Lord of your life.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and dine with him, and he with Me”. Rev 3:20

…”If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the , you will be saved.” Romans l0:9

MY FERVENT AND HEARTFELT PRAYER FOR YOU IS THAT YOU OPEN THAT DOOR TO HIM RIGHT THIS MINUTE. TOMORROW MAY NOT COME FOR YOU. YOUR LIFE MIGHT BE REQUIRED OF YOU BEFORE TOMORROW. THIS WORLD IS A STRANGE AND VIOLENT PLACE - (PERHAPS EVEN IN YOUR HEART TODAY THERE IS FEAR AND UNCERTAINTY, EVEN HOPELESSNESS – BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO STAY THAT WAY. JESUS IS THE ANSWER TO SUCH FEAR – SUCH HOPELESSNESS. HE IS THE AUTHOR OF OUR LIVES AND WANTS TO LEAD US TO THE PATH THAT LEADS TO HIM AND TO ETERNAL LIFE. WHEN WE TRUST HIM AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, OUR PERSONAL ETERNAL LIFE BEGINS THE MINUTE WE ARE SAVED.
