The visionary dream of building a free-standing hospice house still floats around in my mind. However, it has changed some, as the Lord often does, and now is of a place for disabled veterans/residents to come for short term visits; A place where peace and quiet can heal war torn minds and bodies; a place where God's Word can minister and heal in amazing ways.

It is my sincere pledge to each of you that none of your loved ones coming to visit His Acres House of Prayer will ever be advised that food and water should be withheld from a loved one's care focus, and that you came to pray on behalf of that family member or friend.

As you ponder such important issues, don't forget to sit down with your loved ones and write out your wishes for your care at the end of your own life-don't forget the details. Never put into your end of life directives merely
"do not resuscitate". Make detailed instructions regarding that. Write specifically that you always want food and water offered, if only sips at a time.
