April, 2009 already, and many still are not saved. What do I mean? We have many persons sitting in various churches all around southwest Iowa. They belong to a church. They say the liturgical words. Yet, they do not understand that there is more to Christianity than merely belonging to a particular church. There is a level beyond the "pew sitting" and the "belonging" that requires that a commitment be made to draw close to Jesus, and that no matter what, that will necessarily become the most important part of their lives. I have discovered (the difficult way- that of complete brokenness) that Christianity is about a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus rather than a religion. Those of us who have "found the way" must, of necessity, be compelled to reach out to them in any way we can. Those of us who have discovered Jesus to be more than a historical figure, must, by any means available, reach those folks before they leave this world and end up in hell in spite of "church membership". I can say that because I used to be in that very same situation-a member of a main line denomination and a pew sitter who, had I died prematurely during those years, would have gone in a straight line from the church pew to hell.

A MANDATE FROM JESUS: Before He ascended back to heaven, our precious Lord and Savior told us to "go into all the world and preach the gospel". This is what we need to do, everywhere we go, telling people about the hope that can be found in a saving relationship with Jesus. Whether in the grocery store, restaurants, sports games-everywhere we go. There is no escuse for any of us to keep the good news to ourselves and not share it.
Jesus came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. He came to seek and to save those who are lost.
As His people, we must do the same thing.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Some people in my life I have been praying for for years, and still their hearts are hard and they think all they have to do is "think about the things of the Lord once in awhile". The Lord, however, will reel them in eventually. My job is to keep praying and trust Jesus with my loved ones. And so, I commit, them all to Jesus.

HOW TO FIND JESUS: Seek Him in prayer. Tell him that you know you are a sinner (living your life apart from Him) and that you want to change. Tell him that you repent (change directions) and want to turn around and walk towards Him rather than away from Him. Ask Him to forgive you and in His mercy, to SAVE you.
Receive Him into your heart and from that time onward, know that He has heard your prayer and has saved your soul, and that as long as you remain close to Him, you can enjoy ETERNAL LIFE with Him.

A NEW PLAN FOR HIS ACRES FOUNDATION: This year has been a culmination of a ten year battle to obtain a zoning change so that a free-standing hospice could be built on this property. The County officials, again and again, denied that request. But have no fear, what God has started HE WILL COMPLETE. Only the vision has changed. Instead of a hospice, now His Acres House of Prayer/His Acres House of Rest.
Additional RV spaces are planned for next year, in addition to the two RV hook-ups that are presently available.

The covered shelter is now completed, and has turned out to be a beautiful structure that can be used for many diversified activities: outdoor picnics, music concerts, praise and worship gatherings, prayer meetings.

The His Acres property needs bathroom/shower building.

The vision for a "rolling sound system" van has been fulfilled, and eventually the van will be used to provide the amplification for the musical instruments, keyboard, microphones and whatever is needed for our worship services.
